May 13th Update

Hi Friends,

Wanted to let you know why I wasn’t able to be on the call on Monday night.  As you know I am a state park campground host and my days can be long. I try to have Monday off so it doesn’t conflict with our call but that doesn’t always happen.  We are one host short so I am covering for them.

Monday, around 6pm we had a couple of campers with a large dog that were having some problems.  We had to call for back up due to drugs, combined with mental illness.  That took a while since the closest park ranger was about an hour away.  The issue didn’t get resolved until around 8pm.  All is well now, no one was hurt, but I totally forgot about the call.  When I finally got back to my campsite, and saw Cathie’s text, I felt so bad that I had let you down.  I am so very sorry.

I was informed that you all continued on for a bit and had a good conversation.  That really made me happy.

Please know that this may happen again and when it does, I hope you will do just as you did this past Monday.  And I will make sure I send you a message the next day to let you know what happened so you are not left wondering. On that note, I really appreciate how many of you reached out to ask if all is okay.
