Video Support
Run this PC test to be sure your computer can play videos: http://www.helloworld.com/root.popups/system_test_start.aspx
Below are the computer requirements needed to view videos.
If custom security settings are used, you need to make sure the following are prompted or enabled: Signed ActiveX Controls and Script ActiveX Controls marked safe
for scripting.
If the above requirements are met then see below.
PC Users
Problem: The page doesn’t load.
Solution: Do you have another toolbar installed such as Google's or Yahoo's? If so, they both have Pop-Up Blockers. You'll need to disable the
pop-up blocker temporarily to load the video. You could also have a FIREWALL(s) set to block) a or allow sites: www.helloworld.com and www.vmdirect.com). You
could have an ANTI-VIRUS program whose blocking is set too high.
Problem: You load the page but when the box comes up where the video should play, you get a message telling you that you don’t’ have compatible format.
Solution: Was there a bar at the top that said, "need to install Active X?” If you're not sure, trying clicking the link again and then see if that bar
shows up. If so, then right click the bar and then click, "install." That should fix the problem.
Problem: You load the page and see the “Detecting Bandwidth” message. But, that’s as far as it goes. The video never loads.
Solution: You may not have had enough memory to load the video. Try rebooting your computer.
Macintosh Users
Problem: You load the page but when the box comes up where the video should play, you get a message telling you that you don’t’ have compatible format.
Solution: Install the Windows Media Player for Firefox. Go to: http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx
You could also try installing the latest Firefox browser and the Flip4mac player.
Download the Firefox Browser by going to http://www.mozilla.com
Download the Flip4mac player at http://www.flip4mac.com and look for the free Windows Media Player for Quicktime.
With these two components, you should be able to view video emails.
If you still cannot view the videos, contact Jelaila Starr at: Jelaila@nibiruancouncil.com. I’d be happy to assist.
